Position Overview

As Head of AI, you will lead and scale our Artificial Intelligence practice, setting the technical vision, building a high-calibre team, and delivering practical AI and automation solutions that create measurable business impact for our clients. This is a leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and a strong sense of ownership.
You will own the AI roadmap end-to-end, from evaluating emerging technologies and defining our service offerings to architecting solutions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring every project delivers compounding value. You’ll work closely with the Founder, cross-functional engineering leads, and directly with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI/ML technical strategy aligned with Technovate.One’s services and client outcomes.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies (LLMs, generative AI, computer vision, NLP) and translate them into practical, production-grade solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks for AI development across projects.
• Make key architecture and tooling decisions including model selection, training pipelines, inference infrastructure, and MLOps.

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of AI developers, including hiring, onboarding, and creating a culture of thoughtful engineering.
• Conduct regular code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical deep-dives to elevate the team’s capabilities.
• Foster a learning environment where engineers grow into senior technical contributors.

• Own AI delivery across client engagements, including scoping, estimation, architecture, and hands-on implementation when needed.
• Collaborate with ONE Pods to embed AI capabilities into cloud, data, and product engineering workstreams.
• Translate complex client business problems into well-defined AI solutions with clear success metrics.
• Ensure every AI initiative is production-ready, scalable, and designed for compounding value, not one-off experiments.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring informed perspectives on where AI can drive real business outcomes.
• Represent Technovate.One’s AI expertise in client conversations, proposals, and industry forums.
• Contribute to building Technovate.One’s intellectual property, including internal tools, accelerators, and reference architectures.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent).
• Production experience with LLMs, generative AI, NLP, or computer vision, not just research or prototypes.
• Proven ability to design end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud-native AI services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI, or similar).
• Track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI solutions in consulting or services environments (multi-client, multi-domain).
• Familiarity with MLOps practices including model versioning, CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking, and automated retraining.
• Exposure to healthcare, manufacturing, retail, or financial services domains.
• Background in building agentic AI systems, RAG pipelines, or AI-powered automation workflows.
• Published work, open-source contributions, or conference talks in AI/ML.
