Integrated Manufacturing Operations Platform for a Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer required a single, unified web-based platform to bring together task management, product lifecycle operations, costing, business development, and management reporting deployed entirely on their own servers, with data flowing in through structured manual entry and automated ERP CSV ingestion. Technovate. One designed and built the platform end-to-end, purpose-built for how the client’s teams actually operate.
Business Problem
The client was running critical operations across disconnected tools with no unified visibility. Key challenges included:
- Fragmented operations – Excel-based production schedules, siloed department trackers, manual costing sheets, and an ERP system with no real-time visibility layer
- No cross-department visibility – production teams couldn’t see what QA had cleared; finance had no live view of outstanding payments; costing decisions were made on stale data
- Critical functions without a home – New Product Introductions, punch-die records, payment tracking, and BD pipelines all lived in separate files, inboxes, or people’s heads
- Compounding compliance risk – regulatory and R&D activities for pre-production products were tracked informally, and insurance policy expiries were managed through spreadsheets
- No single source of truth – management had no unified KPI view across the business
- Infrastructure constraint – data security and regulatory requirements mandated full on-premises hosting; no third-party cloud, no SaaS workarounds
How Technovate.One Helped
Technovate. One built a self-hosted, web-based operations platform purpose-built around the client’s existing workflows not the other way around.
Eleven modules span the full manufacturing lifecycle within a single, role-governed system. ERP data ingests automatically via CSV from predefined server paths, with validation, duplicate detection, and import logging built in. Structured manual entry covers everything else.
The eleven modules delivered span the full manufacturing lifecycle:Â
- Kanban Task Manager – project and cross-department task tracking
- Production Schedule – live digital board replacing Excel-based scheduling
- Punch-Die & Changepart Records – equipment documentation with diagram storage
- Product Lifecycle Tracker – from pre-production regulatory and R&D activities through to QC, QA, and dispatch
- Payments Tracker – advance, balance, and outstanding payment visibility
- New Product Introduction – structured multi-level approval workflow
- RM & PM Costing Database – material cost repository with version history and ERP sync
- FP Costing Calculator – BOM-driven cost sheets with scenario modelling
- BD Sales Funnel – lead-to-order pipeline with activity logging
- MIS Dashboards – live KPI dashboards fed directly from ERP CSV data
- Insurance Tracker – expiry monitoring across all active policies
Each department sees only what is relevant to its function. Cross-department visibility is granted explicitly by Admin.
Business Outcomes Delivered
- Single source of truth across operations – production, quality, finance, and sales now work from the same live data rather than version-controlled spreadsheets
- Eliminated manual reconciliation across costing, payments, and product status tracking, reducing both effort and error
- NPI approvals accelerated through a structured multi-level digital workflow, replacing email chains and physical sign-offs
- Management visibility restored – MIS dashboards give leadership real-time KPI visibility directly from ERP data, without waiting for monthly reports
- Compliance risk reduced – regulatory activity tracking and insurance expiry monitoring are now systematic, not person-dependent
- Full data sovereignty maintained – the entire platform runs on the client’s own infrastructure, meeting their security and regulatory requirements without compromise
